Fuel Cost Calculator
Work out the petrol or diesel cost of a trip from the distance, your car's mileage and the price per litre, and split it between passengers.
Kilometres per litre. 8 L/100 km is 12.5 km/l.

Driving 380 km at 12 km/l uses about 31.7 litres, costing Rs 8,391.67.
How it's worked out
- Distance380 km
- Fuel used
380 km ÷ 12 km/l31.67 litres - Cost
31.67 litres × Rs 265.00Rs 8,391.67
- Real mileage drops with traffic, air-conditioning and high speeds. Tolls are not included.
The formula
Fuel cost = distance ÷ km per litre × price per litre
Worked example
A Lahore to Islamabad return trip of about 760 km in a car doing 12 km per litre uses 760 ÷ 12 = 63.3 litres. At Rs 265 a litre that's about Rs 16,783, or about Rs 4,196 each for four people.
Questions people ask
How do I calculate fuel cost for a trip?
Divide the distance by your car's kilometres per litre to get the litres used, then multiply by the price per litre.
My car shows litres per 100 km. How do I convert?
Divide 100 by it: 8 L/100 km is 12.5 km per litre. The unit converter does this for miles per gallon too.
Why is my real fuel cost higher?
City traffic, air-conditioning, heavy loads and high speeds all cut mileage below the official figure.
